I am excited to announce the latest service we have introduced to Scotty’s Lawn & Garden Surgery. After requests from our existing customers, we now offer a complete Pool & Spa Care service. Many of my customers have pools in their yards and it makes sense that if I am there taking care of their lawns and gardens, it will be more cost effective to have their pool serviced at the same time.

I am proud to say that I am now an accredited Pool Technician through the NSW Swimming Pool & Spa Association (SPASA). Gaining this certificate involved attending a 5 day theory and practical course in Sydney and demonstrating a thorough knowledge of water chemistry and how pool systems operate. As part of our service we can perform a range of pool and spa related tasks like water testing and balancing through to equipment replacement and repairs.

I have also demonstrated to the NSW Department of Fair trading that I have enough knowledge and experience in pool repair to be issued with a Pool Technicians License. My License number is LIC 256783C. Before anyone can do work on a pool to the value of $1000 or higher, they must hold a current license.

What is normally involved when attending a customers home to perform a pool service can range from a simple water test and adding the correct chemicals if necessary to balance the water, and can also include a vacuum and filter clean. It doesn’t take long before a pool can turn green if not maintained correctly or with changes in the weather. It is important to maintain a water balance that will protect your family from bacterial infection as well as provide a comfortable experience for everyone.

As part of each service, a safety inspection is carried out of the pool and fencing area to ensure your equipment is kept in the best possible condition for the safety of all. I will present you with a detailed written report outlining the results of your water test and any other work carried out. You can be confident in knowing that only the chemicals required to maintain a safe balance will be added and you will not be sold anything that is above what you need. As I have demonstrated with my lawn & gardening business, I provide a reliable honest service.
